Our Company
The “Scientific Society of Continuing Education in Clinical Research”, abbreviated “S.S.C.E.C.R.”, is a civil, non-profit company with its registered office in Thessaloniki, whose financial operations and income are exclusively aimed at achieving its objectives.
The composition and elections of the Board of Directors shall be held every three (3) years.
Purposes
- To provide continuous information, education and training to health professionals, health care workers and all those with a professional and/or scientific interest in the subjects related to clinical research of both i) medicine and ii) medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices of all classes, as well as training in the new EU legislation governing the studies of these products (MDR).
- The organization of and participation in information events, workshops, conferences, educational programs, round tables, scientific symposia, lectures and activities of scientific interest and the granting of patronage to other organizations for this purpose.
- The creation of electronic applications providing specialized information on clinical research to health professionals, patients’ associations and all interested parties, linked by certified electronic information platforms on clinical trials, health improvement actions and/or Community and European programs with relevant content.
- Establishing channels of communication and information exchange between clinical research centers through the creation of a network to develop and cultivate the culture of clinical trials in health structures and society, through the production and distribution of printed and electronic materials and/or in collaboration with patient associations to provide specialized information, education and support depending on the disease, and to organize and support information and communication activities.
- Providing expert advice on financial monitoring and administrative support for clinical trials.
- To collaborate with academic, educational and research institutions in actions related to the collection, processing and analysis of data related to clinical research products, as well as for the continuous training of professionals involved in clinical research.
- To collaborate with the competent ministries, university institutions, local authorities, NGOs, private and public bodies and individuals with the aim of improving clinical research and promoting its results.
Resources
The resources of S.S.C.E.C.R are
- Donations, grants and sponsorship from individuals and legal entities,
- income from events and activities of the S.S.C.E.C.R (publications, research, events, provision of services)
- and any other voluntary contributions from partners or third parties.
In view of the non-profit nature of the S.S.C.E.C.R, its income is never distributed among its partners but is used exclusively to achieve the above-mentioned objectives.
